Mouse replacement

How often should someone replace their mouse? I know the obvious answer would be "once its broken" but I've had my logitech g pro x superlight since january 2022 and I think it is maybe time to buy a new one? Is there any way to know if there is some kind of sensor error?

I'm asking because I'm about to leave the US for a couple months and I don't want to be stranded with no mouse.

Ps: I know you may have answered this before, but is razer viper v2 pro better than the superlight 2?
