I've joined the Zulu club
After months of dithering I finally bit the bullet on a Zulu Time today, and I'm absolutely delighted with it. Now that the strap is properly sized etc it looks even better than I expected.
In photos and descriptions here I had always gravitated towards the 39mm, and when the titanium version was released a while back I thought I might keep saving for a little while longer and get that one. I tried the titanium at an AD a couple of weeks back, and while I liked the colour combo I found the size slightly disappointing. It seems ridiculously obvious in hindsight, but I hadn't considered that a chunky bezel would necessarily lead to a smaller dial. All told the effect was a little...underwhelming. When I tried on the 42mm it just felt much better to me.
This was the colour that initially drew my attention to the watch, and while I love the blue dial too I just had to go with plan A. When I found it at a local AD at 30% off retail I could resist no longer.
Chuffed to be part of the club.
