Why do lesbian relationships move so quickly?

It's all in the title, but I wonder why relationships between two women move so quickly. I remember that all the relationships I've had, intense as they were, lasted less than 6 months and I know that it's probably because there is less social pressure or you would have to hide your emotions. in the sense that in a heterosexual relationship, the two people tend to move forward little by little while we women have dates of one week. lol
