Luvansh - Loose Diamond - 4.5/5

Vendor Review

  • Purchased from Luvansh during their 30% off sale in early December, purchased on 12/3, arrived via Fedex on 12/14! It did not require a signature which I found pretty off putting considering it’s uninsured and hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

The diamond itself

  • This was a loose pear diamond. 1.93 carat, E color, VVS2, no fluorescence, Excellent polish and symmetry. I selected several from their website that I liked and I had my fiancé pick out of those. I am overall extremely pleased with the diamond itself.

It is very crisp and clean, bright white, with no visible inclusions. I haven’t measured it but it looks it’s size. It does have a bowtie in certain light but I expected that with an elongated cut. I really wish they had more videos of their diamonds, as basically all the ones I looked at (that were returnable) didn’t. Even when I searched the IGI number. I have verified the report with IGI and it is legitimate. I have not inspected my diamond for the inscribed number but it matches the report.

Customer Service

  • We had no issues with my order but I know their shipping times have increased substantially and I’ve heard customer service leaves something to be desired. The diamond itself came in a small, flat fedex package, with the IGI certificate folded in a plastic sleeve, and the diamond on a small foam square wrapped in tissue paper stuck in the plastic sleeve with the certificate. I’ve never bought a loose diamond to know if this is standard practice, but it doesn’t seem very secure to me and I would love if they came in something like this (see slide 5). I feel the majority of us would pay a small price increase for more secure packaging. The diamond arrived on time as promised but did not require a signature.

Pricing

  • The price was incredible and extremely competitive compared to other lab diamond retailers. The diamond cost $315 after their 30% off sale. This is an amazing deal as comparable diamonds cost $1028 on Brilliance, anywhere from $900-$1300 on Ritani, and $2,560 on James Allen.

Rating

  • 4.5/5 - Very pleased with my experience but I don’t know if I would trust them with making a setting. I would stick to loose diamonds and make sure you do your research on your stone. (I am in no way affiliated with Luvansh nor did I get any discount for this review!)
