What are the most hilarious villain defeats you've read?
For me I can immediately think of three examples.
The first one, perhaps the most obvious is in Tress of the Emerald Sea: I must admit I didn't expect Tress to put an Uno Reverse Card on Captain Crow and sell her to Xisis. Tress managed to stick to her principles, outsmarting Crow and defeating her without killing her (even saving her life). This whole scene caught me off guard and made me laugh.
The second one is on the very last book of the Wheel of Time (Spoiler: A Memory of Light) After an epic but tragic Last Battle, Moghedien's ultimate defeat was a funny moment, very welcome as a contrast. Imagine surviving The Last Battle thanks to your cowardice, only to get captured by the Seanchan and whine "No, not again!".
And the third one, certainly more gruesome, is at the very end of the Rainwild Chronicles (Spoiler: Blood of Dragons) Despite everything he had done, I would have almost felt sorry for Hest... if he didn't die as a result of his own stupid arrogance. Like he truly believed he could control a dragon, and one of the most powerful ones at that. I burst out laughing when Kalo called him "Meat" before eating him.
