Amount of chances in VSA

How come, that in my last 25 matches 23 opponents had at least one chance more than me (sometimes even 3) and also it always finishes my chance in the middle of attack when clock runs out, but i still wait for my opponent to finish his n+1 game. Anybody with similar experience?
