Would it be weird to keep larder beetles? (Dermestes lardarius)

I was a weird and lonely kid, so I used to play with the little bugs I found in my house that I now know were larder beetles, a common pest. I’m curious if it would be possible (or weird) to keep a medium tank of them for the nostalgia and fun of it. As a common pest I doubt I could purchase any healthy ones to raise a group.

It this weird or stupid? Just miss the bugs that started my love of entomology, and want to in a way make up for the ones I accidentally killed trying to play with.
