I might buy the Digitakt 2 again...

I bought the Digitakt 2 when it came out, after listing over the original for a few years before I finally pulled the trigger.

It didn't fit me though. I tried to make "full tracks" with it, and I wasn't that successful. I'm not that into sampling, I like to make my own stuff "from scratch".

But now that the Digitone 2 came out, I'm somewhat exited to be able to get and use the Digitakt 2 as a drum machine. I think that is what it's really for and where it shines. To my perspective at least.

I can delegate the melodic stuff to the Digitone 2, since I'm a lot more into sound design and melodic stuff.. More musical stuff.
