Movement..?

I did some researches to get better with echo and saw a youtube video,which handels the basic of her. In that video he goes briefly on some movement mechanics, but i dont get it how he does that :/. Basicly he super jumps in the air with a boost . And the cooldown is ticken down asap. I hope you guys can help me...
