What are you really worried about with Deltarune (Chapter 3+4)'s release?
My worries:
- Chapters 3+4 will be more of the same of Chapter 2; Toby doesn't do anything to shake up the formula and doesn't take any major structural deviations or narrative expansions.
- We won't get answers for certain questions we've had thus far (questions we've talked about for YEARS now). Basically, "you just have to wait for the super epic final Chapter for answers", or, "maybe you don't get any answers because sometimes the truth is you don't get to know everything lolololol just like REAL LIFE"
- Secret bosses are copy+pastes of Spamton. I love Spamton to death, but I'd sooner take some expansion on Jevil's character than have Spamton's personality rehashed into other characters just because it worked really well once.
- Secret boss fights continue to kick the dirt, blush, and vaguely allude to Gaster... even though we all know Gaster is involved already. And, Susie continues to be like "huh that fight sure was weird, oh well, guess I won't fully address it or let it affect my character until Chapter 7!"
- These will be filler chapters and there won't be Gaster lore (please Toby this is all I'm looking forward to in my escapism anymore)
- Toby continues to hold on to all fan-favorite/expected major characters until the end. Asriel? Not yet. Papyrus? Pffft. Gaster? In your dreams! Dess? Gerson? SANS DOING SOMETHING? WELL GUESS WHAT, KIDDO, CHAPTER 7 IS GONNA BE REALLY FREAKIN COOL IF YOU LIKE COOL THINGS, HAVE FUN WAITING UNTIL 2039 AND STAYING ALIVE UNTIL THEN, SHITASS (/j)
... I feel like I could keep thinking of stuff. But instead of being overly depressing and anxious, I'll let you guys do that for me!
