Playing the newly released team shooter makes me appreciate the movement in Deadlock even more.
I really don't want this post to sound like some dick measuring contest about which game is better since they're both incredible games from 2 different genres. That being said the entire time I was playing Marvel rivals I found myself accidentally trying to dash or slide while moving from point A to B.
This is the sort of thing you don't really appreciate until it's been taken away, but the ability to make small little decisions to make traversal slightly faster makes moving around the map SO much more satisfying. I'm not some movement god by any means but the simple act of sliding down the 2 flights of stairs between green and blue are very satisfying to me, to the point where not being able to do this on another game that is superficially similar to deadlock felt like someone had taken a sledgehammer to my knees.
