Guys, I’ve been building my teams the wrong way since the beginning.

Basically, I thought that having either the right tag or the right color was enough for the Zenkai boost to take effect, but that’s not the case at all. The character must have both the same color and the same tag as the Zenkai character.

I’ve been playing the game for 4 years.
