Catholics don't get offended

As an Orthodox Christian, I respect the rich traditions of our faith, but one area where I find common ground with some Protestants is the discussion about whether Mary and Joseph had other children. It’s clear from various scripture references that Mary and Joseph were a family, and that Jesus had brothers and sisters. For example, Matthew 1:25 mentions that Jesus was Mary’s ‘firstborn,’ implying that there were subsequent children. Whether Mary had a handful or more children doesn’t change the essence of our faith. Please don't say that the children were from Joseph's previous marriage as this argument doesn't hold up beacuse the Bible provides no solid evidence for it. In fact, the Scriptures say very little about Joseph's life, including his age, other than the fact that he was older than Mary.
