What’s going rate for wedding gift?

I’m having an argument here with my mom. She says I’m cheap for only giving €100 as single and €200 as couple for gift to a wedding.

I’ve been invited to 7 weddings this year, 2 overseas, and also 5 hens, 2 of them also onerseas. I’ve turned down 2 weddings and 2 hens, as I don’t have the leave or the money to make them all.

Now my mother is saying I’m cheap for not giving more than €100 or €200 if I go with my partner.

Now I gave €200 alone as a bridesmaid and my partner gave €100. But only give more if in bridal party.

I’m almost 30 and trying so fucking hard to get a mortgage and with cost of living crisis I’m actually so fed up. I cannot afford to go to all these weddings and give more money and so pissed off that my mom thinks I should give at least €150 and that people will see me as cheap.

So what do you all think? I think €100 is plenty but maybe I am being a cheap bitch, and if so I don’t care coz I’m broke from all these weddings and hens 😂
