MyQ Garage Door Integration

Have folks been using the HondaLink/MyQ integration as a solution for the missing Home link? I'm a bit offended that they want me to but a subscription for $159 to replace Homelink.

Worse yet, the geolocation only works if you have CarPlay or AndroidAuto open. On my touring, if I am using the built in version of Maps I need to manually switch to Android Auto to access the garage opener. And when I'm pulling out of the garage, HondaLink typically has not connected yet, so I can't use it.

Anyone else find it more useful than me?
