Adrienne Corri

Adrienne Corri appeared in three films for Hammer Studios: The Viking Queen (1967), Moon Zero Two (1969), and, in a starring role as the Gypsy Queen, in Vampire Circus (1972). She is best-remembered as the victim of the gang-rape in the 1971 Stanley Kubrick film A Clockwork Orange. Other appearances include Doctor Zhivago (1965), Lancelot and Guinevere (1963), The Tell-Tale Heart (1960), Devil Girl From Mars (1954) and Corridors of Blood (1958).

Hazel Court

Though she was no stranger to horror and sci-fi, Hazel Court had the distinction of being the first true Hammer Heroine, when she landed the role of Victor Frankenstein’s cousin Elizabeth in Hammer’s breakthrough gothic horror film, The Curse of Frankenstein (1957). She went on to work for Hammer again several years later in The Man Who Could Cheat Death. In the ’60’s, she went on to work in several of the Roger Corman-helmed Edgar Allen Poe adaptations, such as The Masque of the Red Death with Vincent Price, and The Raven, with Price and horror legend Boris Karloff. She retired from acting in 1981, her final screen role being inĀ  The Omen III: The Final Conflict. She died in 2008 at the age of 82.
