NF & Menopause

Older women - about how old were you when you started menopause?

I'm 34. I stopped having regular periods about 3 years ago. Now, within the last two weeks, I'm getting the most atrocious night sweats. It's terrible and I'm getting hardly any sleep because I keep waking up just absolutely drenched in sweat.

I've left my doctor a message, but I'm having suspicions that maybe I'm going into early menopause. But man, even with NF, 34 seems too early.

For other symptoms - hot flashes. But I dunno if they can be considered 'flashes' when I'm just gross and hot ALL the time. We keep our thermostat on 68 and 90% of the time I'm -roasting- even with that. ETA: I'm also currently taking meds for Hypertension - a side effect of both NF1 AND Menopause. Lovely.

Not looking for a diagnosis or anything, but wondering other women's experience.
