How can I politely give a 2-weeks notice?

I got accepted at a new job in a field that is related to what I do, and I am really excited to start. The only problem is that after talking to a coworker, they expressed that my supervisor, does not handle these situations very well. Apparently, the last girl had issues where she was treated poorly after saying that she was transferring to a different department that she ended up just quitting the job. I am giving 2-weeks since my new job doesn’t start until the end of the month. This would be my first time giving a 2-weeks notice. Any help is appreciated!
