Bosses Mad I’m Leaving the Company
Just like the title says, my bosses are mad I’m leaving the company. For background, I work for a small company in a rural area. I’m a second year BCBA. I’ve posted before about my company not paying enough. Well i decided to do something about that and looked elsewhere. I found another company who will pay me significantly more with less of a billable requirement. Being a new mom, I can’t pass up the opportunity to not only give my baby a better life but to possibly be home with him more! When I let my clinical directors know, they mentioned that they were blindsided and hurt by this. I understand their frustration with losing an employee but I feel as if projecting their feelings onto me was a bit much. I’m meeting with them later to discuss more about my leaving but I needed to post here to get advice about this meeting with them in case they take it personally (which I believe they already have). Have any of you dealt with supervisors taking things extra personal?
